Welcome
Amar Nath Vidya Ashram Senior Secondary School, Mathura Founded as Amar Nath Vidya Ashram in 1961 by Amar Nath Ashram Trust Committee (Registered Society),is a reputed educational institution which attract students from far and wide.
The blessings received from the Revered Mother of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry in 1975 proved to be a turning point in the history of the school and under the able and inspiring leadership of Shri Anand Mohan Vajpeyi, its founder Principal and a Trustee and Secondary Education in Mathura District.
The building of the school is ideally situated in an area covering about 10 acres of land. It is characterised by beautiful, clean, green and healthy surroundings. The school lays great stress on cleanliness and presents a highly developed aesthetic look. Located in the midst of natural surroundings, it is characterised by greenery within and around its complex.
We believe that every child has a spark within and it' our beautiful responsibility to kindle it through our new pedagogy.
The pedagogy of our institution is based upon the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother.
"The first principle of teaching is that nothing can be taught"
This statement of Sri Aurobindo condenses a whole lot of theories of education and a new form of pedagogy closer to integral approach to education. It puts learning above teaching. It makes learning a self-starting, self propelling process and redefines the role of the teacher from a mere possessor of information to a facilitator and a guide for the learner.
The Ashram is the instrument and the means through which all its students are building their futures to higher purposes. The Ashram's approach is therefore not merely academic but dynamic and integral. I am delighted to see that the students of our institution indeed strive towards perfection instead of objectives of only scoring in exams and result.
